The story behind La Belle Lune started 20 years ago… 

I remember vividly one day when I was 17, my beloved mother bought me my first book on aromatherapy… I was delighted and fascinated to learn what incredible benefits plants could have and so began my journey into the wonderful world of oils and essential oils.

At the age of 15 I had started to get acne, and coming from a slightly more alternative family, I felt drawn to a natural and holistic approach to healing my skin.

From the age of 15 to 35 I had mild to severe acne on and off. And I truly believe if it wasn’t for the amazing healing benefits of oils, my skin would not be in the condition it is today. 20 years of acne damage kept to a minimum thanks to mother nature. Although I believe acne or any inflamed skin condition is caused by a deeper imbalance of the body, healing from the inside is imperative, but I also believe it’s important to look after your skin on the outside too.

After seeing how my skin responded to cold pressed seed oils I began to research and experiment with different combinations over the years, finding which ones went well together and enhanced each other. Organic Skin was born from this, it’s a combination of my favourite oils and essential oils, refined to create a little potion that I believe not only helps speed up the healing of hyper-pigmentation/marks/scars, but that is all round excellent skin food and nutrition.

We are aware of what we put into our bodies and try to be healthy so why not be conscious of what we put onto our skin too? After all, our skin is our largest organ and absorbs what we put onto it, so it makes sense to us to use ingredients provided by Mother Nature, organic, pure, virgin and unrefined.
